Bio - “Waterlogged”
I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and went to Louisiana State University (LSU) where I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2000. While at LSU I was a scholarship athlete on the swim team and was a finalist at the SEC Championships each year. My best/favorite events were the 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle. In the summer of ‘96 I competed in my final swim meet (Senior Nationals). That happened to also be the last time I would get in the water for nearly 12 years.
Following graduation I moved to Dallas, TX and have since passed all nine, that’s right nine, licensing exams and am a registered architect (May 3, 2005). I’ve only been an architect for three (3) years and I can already say that my work has been published in Texas Architect magazine ( 2005). An architect’s hours are never ‘normal’. They can be quite demanding and for long stints of time, however I am doing something I love to do. Besides it has its perks as well (travel, being able to create things, etc.). There aren’t many jobs where your boss will pay you to draw and color.
My goal is to get physically fit once again. I’ve never gotten badly out of shape because I watched what I ate and excersized but I’m looking for something more. Since I was swimmer and was also an excellent runner it just seemed simple to want to try triathlons. Since beginning this newfound quest in April ‘08 I’ve only been able to muster 1, maybe 2, workouts in per week due to my busy work schedule but I do what I can.
Scheduled competitions for 2008:
Sept. 7, 2008 - Prairieman Sprint Triathlon (800m swim / 16.2 mi. bike / 5k run)

Oct. 5, 2008 - U.S. Open Sprint Triathlon (850m swim / 24 mi. bike / 5k run)
*Placed 2nd in age-group (M30-34)
My favorite hobbies include: traveling, swimming, running, cycling, beach volleyball and tennis.
