			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, my first year in the sport has come and gone with the passing of the U.S. Open Sprint Triathlon (October 5, 2008). It was my second tri and I&#8217;m hooked.  The manner in which the race was run, the officials, and spectators were terrific.  Sunday&#8217;s race was a lot of fun. There were 1000+ competitors signed up to compete in the Olympic and Sprint distances; 31 of which were in my age-group of the sprint distance. I placed 2nd!!! The bike course was very hilly which made for an interesting ride however it was riddled with pot holes and large cracks. My run was the only thing I felt I could have gone faster in.  For the next 4-5 months I&#8217;m going to soley focus on improving my run.  All in all it was a great day for me.</p>
